Asian Village serves as an upper scale multifunctional Asian culture and tour center. The complex consists
of the Chinese classical garden, Korean village, Japanese village, Indian village, Thai village, Pakistani village,
Vietnamese village, Persian village, Mid-eastern village, and other countries’ villages. It also includes several
museums, including Asian Art museum, History Museum, Beer/Wine museum, Porcelain Art museum,
Crafts museum, Garment museum, and Hall of Fame museum.
At the center of Asian Village is a Chinese Classical Garden donated by the City of Suzhou, China. A classical Chinese
Garden does not try to imitate nature in the manner of many western landscapes. It is a place where the elements of nature
and the creations of man are displayed together yin/yan in an idealized setting to create a refuge from daily living and center
for cultural gatherings and educational activities. The design of classical Chinese Garden is based on the symbolic use of
stone, water, plants, and architecture.
